The Ministry of Interior offers individuals and companies in Qatar to renew their residence permit online for a period of 1 to 3 years. The renewable service is available for all Qataris, residence, and organizations with Qatari smartcard ID. If you want to renew your Qatar residence permit then you will need to follow the following instructions,

Online instruction,
- Visit the Ministry of Interior E-services portal and log in with your smart card ID.
- Select the Residency services option and then click on renew Residency.
For an individual’s renewal – choose the QID number that you need to renew. You can renew 5 IDs at one time.
For the company’s renewal – select the ID number that you want to renew. You can add up to 20 numbers at the same time.
- After completion of this step, you will need to click on add button.
- Opt-in for the renewable period for the residence permit.
- Check for the delivery options and pay the applicable fees.
Offline Instructions,
- Download the application form and fill it.
- Attach the documents including a copy of your valid employer’s ID. A copy of the employer’s establishment ID.
- Submit your application form along with the other documents required for the expatriate’s affairs department.
Features of residence permit,
- The permit can be renewed 3 months before the expiry date.
- RP rejection will be displayed in case of any issue in the status box of the portal.
- The applicant can choose the method of receiving the new residence permit with the post-delivery system as well.
- The delivery fees will be necessary for this and the applicant will pay this using a credit card for personal or company transactions.
- A payment received will be provided to the application that will be necessary for receiving the new residence permit.

QR500 – wife, children, and family sponsorships.

QR300 – employees (personal sponsorships), servants, farmers, and sailors.
